Jun 25, 2026

MANILA, Philippines — In celebration of the International Day of the Seafarer on June 25, 2026, the MARINO PH team gathered in Kalaw, Manila to recognize and honor the dedication of Filipino seafarers whose work continues to sustain global trade and connect economies across the world.

As part of the observance, a simple food distribution activity was conducted to extend appreciation to the hardworking men and women of the maritime industry. The initiative was made possible with the support and shared efforts of industry partners, reflecting a collective commitment to recognizing the sacrifices and contributions of Filipino seafarers. Through this collaboration, the activity aimed to bring the maritime community together in celebrating those who continue to serve at sea.

The outreach served as a meaningful gesture of gratitude for seafarers who spend long periods away from home while carrying out responsibilities essential to international shipping and commerce. Though often working behind the scenes, their dedication remains a vital force in maintaining the steady movement of goods across borders.

Beyond the distribution activity, the occasion highlighted the importance of acknowledging seafarers not only for their professional achievements but also for their resilience, discipline, and commitment to their families and the industry. Small acts of recognition such as these help strengthen awareness of the realities faced by maritime workers and reinforce support for their welfare and growth.

The event was carried out through the combined efforts of MARINO PH together with Compman, reflecting a shared advocacy of giving back to the maritime community and creating meaningful opportunities to express appreciation for Filipino seafarers.
