The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) has confirmed that 81 Filipino seafarers aboard four Philippine-registered vessels have safely exited the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world's most critical and closely monitored maritime routes. Despite the continuing security challenges in the region, all crew members successfully completed their transit and are reported to be safe.

The four vessels—MV Western Doncaster, MV Vivian Trader, MV Lyng Trader, and MV Eva Fuji—passed through the strait between late June and early July before leaving the conflict-affected area. According to the DFA, the seafarers have either resumed their normal duties or have been given the opportunity to return home to their families.

The Strait of Hormuz remains a vital international shipping lane, carrying a significant portion of the world\'s energy exports. However, ongoing geopolitical tensions have increased the risks faced by commercial vessels and their crews, prompting governments and maritime authorities to continue monitoring the situation closely.
