The USS Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group departed Thailand on September 6 after completing a scheduled port visit, according to the U.S. Navy. The Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72), together with embarked personnel and accompanying strike group units, has resumed operations in the U.S. 7th Fleet area.

The carrier arrived in Laem Chabang, Thailand, on September 2 as part of the strike group’s first full port stop since beginning its deployment in November 2025. The U.S. Navy said the visit followed 286 days at sea and nearly seven months of operations in the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility.

During the visit, nearly 5,000 sailors and Marines from across the strike group were given an opportunity for rest and recreation in the Si Racha and Pattaya areas. U.S. Navy Capt. Dan Keeler, commanding officer of USS Abraham Lincoln, said the stop allowed the crew to recharge before continuing its mission.

The Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group is now conducting routine operations within the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations. The U.S. Navy said its forces in the region conduct continuous patrols aimed at maintaining readiness, supporting regional security, and working with allies and partners across the Indo-Pacific.
