Russia’s Ministry of Defence said its forces carried out drone strikes on logistics centers, port and transport infrastructure, communications facilities, and vessels in Ukraine on Sunday, September 27. Moscow said the targets were connected to Ukrainian military operations.

According to the Russian ministry, the overnight attacks included facilities at the port of Kiliia in the Odesa region, including military storage areas and other port infrastructure. It also claimed that a cargo vessel traveling toward Odesa was struck while allegedly carrying military and dual-use cargo.

The ministry later reported another series of attacks during the day, saying Russian forces struck additional facilities in Kyiv and Odesa as well as another cargo vessel heading toward Odesa. The claims regarding the vessels and the nature of their cargo have not been independently verified.

Ukrainian local authorities separately confirmed that Russian drones struck port and civilian infrastructure in Kiliia during the night of September 26 to 27. Initial reports indicated that no injuries were recorded, while a fire caused by the attack was extinguished.
