MARINO PH Info Caravan at West Bay Colleges Brings Maritime Industry Updates to Future Seafarers

MUNTINLUPA CITY, Philippines—MARINO PH conducted its Info Caravan at West Bay Colleges, Inc. on October 1, 2026 bringing maritime organizations and industry professionals directly to students as part of the school’s Maritime Industry Updates program. The activity was held in connection with the 27th National Maritime Week

The program equipped maritime students and aspiring seafarers with practical insights into industry developments, career opportunities, seafarer welfare, medical readiness, and preparations for onboard work. MARINO PH gathered representatives from ITF Philippines, SuperCare Medical Services Inc., OSM Thome, and ELWIN Crew Management Inc., giving students the opportunity to learn directly from professionals across the maritime sector.

The speakers included Mr. Garizaldy A. Misa, Welfare Officer of ITF Philippines; Dr. Fionnah Mae Sandoval, PEME Manager of SuperCare Medical Services Inc.; Mr. Jebsen Rederri G. Gamido, Seafarer Development Manager of OSM Thome; and Engr. Dominic Villamante, General Manager of ELWIN Crew Management Inc. Drawing on their professional experience, they discussed the qualifications, workplace expectations, responsibilities, and conditions students may encounter when they begin their careers.

Located in Muntinlupa City, West Bay Colleges, Inc. offers maritime courses alongside Hospitality Management, Tourism, and other academic programs. Its Maritime Industry Updates program helped connect classroom lessons with industry practices through firsthand accounts from maritime professionals.

MARINO PH thanked West Bay Colleges for hosting the Info Karavan and creating a space for meaningful interaction between students and industry representatives. It also recognized the participating speakers and organizations for generously sharing their time, expertise, and experience.
