MERCURY MARITIME CO. S.A., a Greek maritime company, successfully held its crew conference on September 30, 2026, at the Admiral Hotel in Manila, Philippines, under the theme “Professional vs. Ordinary.” The event brought together the company’s officers and crew, together with executives and staff of its Philippine manning agency, ELWIN CREW PHILIPPINES.

The conference focused on company developments, maritime safety, professional conduct, operational expectations, and the responsibilities of seafarers onboard. It also provided an opportunity for management and crew members to discuss matters directly related to shipboard operations and professional development.

Head of Operations Capt. Eleftherios Markantonis served as the principal presenter and led seven sessions during the program. His discussions covered professionalism, crew responsibilities, safety awareness, company expectations, organizational developments, and other operational matters relevant to the company’s seafarers.

The sessions also provided updates on the company’s progress and future direction, while reminding participants of the standards expected from officers and crew. Particular attention was given to maintaining discipline, accountability, effective communication, and safe working practices onboard vessels.

Crew Manager Mr. Constantine Manoussakis actively participated throughout the conference by providing practical information, clarifications, and guidance on company-related matters. He also engaged with officers and crew during the discussions, addressing questions and concerns related to operations and shipboard responsibilities.

Engr. Alex Villamante, President of Elwin Crew Management Inc., also took part in the program and shared observations, suggestions, and recommendations on various matters discussed during the conference. He delivered the introduction in Tagalog and later gave the closing remarks, helping connect the discussions with the experiences and concerns of Filipino seafarers.
