Volare Shipping began trading on Euronext Growth Oslo on October 5, 2026, under the ticker “VLCC.” According to Euronext, its shares opened at 169 Norwegian kroner, approximately 9.7% above the private placement price of 154 kroner. The opening price gave the company a market value of about 11.9 billion kroner.
The listing followed a private placement that raised approximately US$500 million through the issuance of 30.7 million new shares. Trafigura said investor demand exceeded the shares available, with participation from institutional investors, family offices and shipping industry participants.
The Singapore-incorporated company remains majority-owned by Trafigura. It currently operates six very large crude carriers and has eight new vessels on order, scheduled for delivery progressively through 2028. Trafigura’s global shipping business commercially manages the fleet.
Volare Chief Executive Officer Alexandre Duff said the listing provides access to a capital market with established shipping expertise. Chairman Andrea Olivi said the company plans to expand the business in the coming years. These statements outline management’s plans rather than confirmed future results.
